Why do you have no olives this year when you had so many last? Weather conditions?

rain fed olive trees are alternate fruiting. Because there were so many last season, it is good the trees can recuperate. Having said that I wasn't expecting to see literally none, but I was not around for the last record year to know. The whole area is the same.

It's the irrigated groves that give most years, but that's a whole different ball game.

Found this picture of the last olive harvest. I don't know if you can see, but the trees could not have found room for one more drop of fruit. It was literally mad. So the trees need a breather big time. More accurately,they have taken a breather, I have no say in the matter:)
