It's high time I shared more on why I've shifted focus more to Bitcoin from Monero over the past several months, and my latest blog post is an attempt to do just that:

Happy to dive into more detail for any of the points given or my reasoning behind this shift 🙂

Excited to read this.

Would love your thoughts on it, we've had a lot of good interactions over the years and you've been one of the good ones keeping me connected to Bitcoin!

Glad you are in this space. Always enjoyed chatting.

What will you be working on first?

Already working on a lot behind the scenes at Foundation, and working on speaking/education much more in Bitcoin circles this year.

Love this explanation!

The beauty of a neutral public ledger that can onboard the bulk of the developing world, meanwhile giving the developed world an off-ramp.

There really is no second best.

Really enjoyed your work over the last few years Seth. Looking forward to reading this piece.

Is the Pod done for now?

While I disagree on your assessments on bitcoin privacy being good enough and most people entering the cryptocurrency space through bitcoin. I can wholeheartedly understand that your voice is amplified when you focus on bitcoin and someone has to try to keep privacy alive in bitcoin. Either way good read

I don't mean to dunk in Monero, but this is big for Bitcoin!!

hats off, seth. appreciate all that you've done and still doing. personally, i ll keep focusing on monero, but i salut your honestly and clear thinking.

freedom maxis unite!

hopefully your presence in the bitcoin community will take the sour taste some maxis have towards monero out their mouth.

privacy is not the only issue with bitcoin - tailemission amirite. but time will tell :) keep building and educating, you are a true true inspiration to us all.

great post by a great educator

This is really nice, Seth — measured, focused on the values that actually matter, and pragmatic. A model.

Thanks for the kind words, Andrew 👊

Pretty humble too from a privacy advocate, to see and admit that there's more dimensions to free money than just the privacy.

I think bitcoin has already become a dystopian surveillance panopticon

For KYC'd users, it's pretty bad.

Most people are kycd. As long as bitcoin tries to fit in with traditional finance it will always be a surveillance coin. No matter how hard people try there will always be a weak link that can mess things up for everyone

I’ve always been interested in learning more about Monero and how to improve Bitcoin’s privacy. Awesome article Seth!🤙🏼

Glad to hear it, and happy to answer any questions you have!
