I have a nagging urge to buy a K-series engine, build it out (with turbo), and bolt it into something it has no earthly business being in. Shall I give into this urge? #asknostr

I have this same urge. I have a truck I need to finish doing dumb things to first, but a turbo Kswap will be my next car project.
Why have I not heard of said project vehicle until now?
Because I'm slow & easily distracted, & I haven't wanted to broadcast my lack of progress. But I have made some forward motions lately, so I may start posting when things are officially going back into the vehicle.
I posted something about the dash support I removed which did turn out to be magnesium, plus something that burned kinda orange at first, when I tested a little piece of it.
Ahhh yes, I did see that.
I also feel ya on not wanting to post lack of progress. I have piles of parts waiting to be installed on both vehicles.
Is that even an actual question?
I grew up around motorsports and dabbled in customizing my cars, but never truly built something of my own. I don't know why, but I am drawn to the K. Maybe because it's just raw potential... I haven't a damn clue what I'd drop it in, but I just want the experience of building an engine first, and worry about the vehicle later. Is that regarded?
Sounds like the whole theory of a rat rod to me lol built the engine, slap it in a chassis with 4 wheels and make it workable lol
Yes. Acty truck 🤟
