No man, I just told you. If you don't know what to do with the information then I'm sorry. I don't have time to type it out. Why is this acceptable business practice? What the fuck happened?

It is absurd. I don't work for that guy and I'm not his bitch. Enabling this behavior only sends us further into an oblivion of incompetency.
You should see software development, 2/3 meetings with managers, devs, architects, to implement just a new button. Not kidding, the meetings alone are more wasted time and money than just do the damn thing. Everything is just highly inefficient and unproductive.

Don’t mean to be annoying I am sure it was a shitty situation for you. Just I work on the opposite situation where everybody decides things in closed doors and tells you what to do only via word never written and you can be sure as shit when it goes bad and it always does they never said what you were told. Even more I have been said to my face “e-mails does not trigger an action” meaning that even though I told somebody to do a task written it down and they didn’t do it, they still defend themselves with bullshit excuses.
So I am a very big apologist of “I will start right away the task you requested as soon as you send me the e-mail”. Call it ledger technology for tasks and responsibilities x)
In your example there's no need for the phone call. So by this person telling me to send the points I made in an email, he's saying he can't regurgitate information he's just been told. This employee is worthless and should be fired immediately in order to prevent further wastes of time.
Why did we have he phone call? Just so he could hear the sound of my voice one last time before asking me to type it out?
