I get a little freebie (a sample room spray), then I check the website and think:

Nice side project selling perfumes and room sprays. Nice design. Nice products. WooCommerce. All legal texts complete. Even an application firewall is set up. But get rid of Klarna (a buy now, pay later service, sometimes with interest) and PayPal. Add BTCPay Server instead. Get rid of fiat social media, add a Nostr account and join Shopstr ...

But no ... Muslims rather want to dwell in fiat world 😞

I think we should offer a service that helps Muslim businesses set up a btcpay server if they're interested. I think we'll see more and more businesses be open to the idea of accepting bitcoin.

Currently trying to set up our own bitcoin Majlis btc pay server and it is not straightforward.

I offered exactly this service last summer to livestock breeders from the US who were already selling their meat through a Shopify shop. The result was 3 BTCPS installations and integration with their shops. That was it.

Are you self-hosting BTCPay Server?

Well I was planning on self hosting it on my umbrel, but as nostr:nprofile1qqstc6e4z5chqxvt4heztekcafrvxalezqfx2kxey3kazemnt3kkxfcppamhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5qs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsq3vamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3xzmny6w03kv made it very clear to me, and for technical reasons that are beyond me, it's damn near impossible to do. Right now I'm in the middle of setting up luna node for the btcpay server.

InshaAllah I'm planning to spin up another node that I'll use as a btcpay server. Even if bitcoin Majlis doesn't use it, I still want to gain that experience and knowledge of setting it up and self hosting it.

It’s not impossible, it’s just something I’ve not been able to do lol 😜

Or you could just quickly spin of a BTCPay Server and more at voltage.cloud on a free tier

Oh wow.... I wish I had known about this earlier as it seems much easier than luna node. Well I'm almost done setting up a btc server but this is good to know. Had no idea it was free!

Afaik Klarna is like PayPal of Europe, buy now pay later is very much like PayPal credit; it is one of their services, but not primary business.
