Why do Americans refuse to use the word "Of" after the word "Couple"🤔, it does my head in😬😂.

Not noticed this lol

I still find 'I could care less' the most confusing

Yes, that's fucking stupid too. It clearly should be "Couldn't"🙄🤷🏻‍♂️.

My earnest answer, most of them are too busy using it to replace have...as in, "we could of done so much better" 😩

Yep. That's more wrong speak right there! While we're at it, people who say "Chomping" at the bit do my head in as well, it's "Champing".

One of my favourites.

I used to work with a fella who used the word "Epceptional" instead of "Exceptional"🙄🤯😂.

And for a not overly common word, he used it A LOT😂😂.

You mean "alot". 😂

Whatever. Or what ever, take your pick😜.

Wot? 😖

That's a bit like saying "excetera" instead of "et cetera". Or would he say "excetera"? 😄

It's pronounced "Hwot" not "Wot"😜.

I thought that was only in Scotchland. 🤔

It's how posh peoole say it. Hwot!

Gotcha. Like an historic med'cine.

I can cope with "Meds", just about, but I'm not overly keen on it and never use it myself. Med'cine can fuck off though🤦🏻‍♂️.

When people refer to inhabitants of Scotland as being "Scotch"🙄.

Right, I'm on a roll here! Let's discuss butter. It is pronounced bUtter not bAtter. Batter is the stuff they coat fish with in chip shops.

If this is the only thing that annoys you about American English, you're doing quite well.

"I could care less" spirals me into lexical rage

Don’t what you’re talking about. Americans do use the word “of” after the word “couple”. Example: “Bring a couple of beers.”

9 times out of 10 that would just be couple beers when I hear or read it coming from an American🤷🏻‍♂️. It might be dependent on State or region though, I'm not sure as I'm not American.

We don’t give a fuck!

Whoop whoop🎉🎉🎉🎉. Have plenty of corn in reserve then brother. Enjoy your Civil War after Nov 5th😎🫡.

Please!

Chill David. I come in peace, we come in peace. Why the aggression😳??

No aggression. I’m laughing.
