Help me out here guys.

Can you provide some guidance on extension please?

Is my only option Alby chrome extension? Because I don't use chrome on my computer.

I recently download duckduckgo.

I also have brave and Microsoft edge. But primal does not function for me on brave.

Also, I use spring and somehow have managed to be able to login to some apps accessible through there with some extension (which I now don't remember how I set up).

And I am using Vanadium on my phone.

Any guidance super appreciated.

Alby works fine on Firefox

Chrome extensions work on Brave, so you can install Alby there

Ok I will do that. But Primal does not work for me o brave. I can't make posts or interact. What would recommend for desktop client in that case?

Firefox, librewolf etc.

A Nostr client! I don't want to download Firefox or nother browser if I don't have to.

Primal is only a app for mobile devices not for desktop

Primal.net

Really? I've been using on Microsoft edge browser no problem.

Try Coracle. I've had trouble with almost every other Nostr client on desktop but I can at least use the basics on Coracle.

I've also been able to get Snort working a few times but not as consistently as Coracle. The only downside is that its GUI is a bit dated.

brave is weird sometimes you have clear history for some sites load, and also re-load your extension. i use nos2x to sign in nostr sites https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/nos2x/kpgefcfmnafjgpblomihpgmejjdanjjp

Why is your life so complex?

Use fiatjaf's signer nos2x

What's so complex about it?

There's so many apps and things?

I use the wallet of satoshi and that's basically it. Sign in with the signer and the zap using qr codes

I don't think I can have wallet of satoshi at my location

Can you use strike instead? I'm not in the US, but I believe it's available there

as a browser extension to save my NOSTR nsec info so I can log in to other clients and apps seamlessly? don't think strike provides that. Or am I wrong?

DuckDuckGo is a search engine. Also if you use Firefox that has the extension

It's a browser too it seems since I've been using as such

Alby works fine in Firefox in conjunction with a Duck Duck Go search engine and with a little skill in Tor 🧅

If you're using Android, then I use nostr:nprofile1qqswacu3amp428kj8wtpqf77yd2upukcn2ft4aycmxm5scmh359e0ssprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuendwsh8w6t69e3xj730ttrpv9 and #Amethyst by nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcscpyug.

Amber can also act as a remote signer on some websites. Snort.social is one.

So keys in one place, on your smartphone but you can still use nostr on your laptop or desktop.

I used a signer extension for the first time today, I had also question marks. I'm on the waiting list for Alby but tried nos2x on the recommendation of nostr:npub1ehkvx8rdjsrwnf7kkqr8gy42vcwe6vwgqdwrl4juqccp689v8wfqr3mz4s. Works well! Basic interface but it does what it needs to do. As you know, I use Brave ;-)
