In meat space I force people at bars to talk to me while I'm traveling. Sometimes it works out and when it doesn't it never matters that it didnt.

I also chat to everyone wherever I go. It’s easier here because it’s customary and polite to acknowledge the other people around you, including greeting strangers on the street.
