- DMs containing Cashu token are now redeemable directly within messages.

- If you have an lnurl set up with your Nostr profile, redeeming the token will deposit the sats directly into your Lightning address.

- https://npub.cash will be used as a default way to claim your token if you don’t have an lnurl set up.

- You can choose to donate any overpaid Lightning fees to support us or keep them yourself!

Messaging on the usage of Cashu as the settlement mechanism for payments over the site has also been added when making a listing and when making a purchase. To make sure i'm understanding this correctly, when a buyer pays me on Shopstr, the sats will go directly to my alby lightning address? If so, i would love to give shopstr another try. Thank you for addressing this concern.

You will still receive a DM with a Cashu token, but you don’t have to set up a Cashu wallet on your own or worry about mints. Now you can just click the “Redeem” button (which also displays the number of sats the token is redeemable for) and they will be deposited into your Alby wallet.

Auto-redemptions and direct Lightning address payments will come, we’re just working on building out a profile management page where sellers can set their payment preferences and have them persist across the site and show up on listings.

I would like to use Shopstr again, too. I still have a payment stuck on the old system. 😑 When I ever get that sorted out, I might give it a go.

How is it stuck? If you haven’t done anything to try and redeem it, you should be able to do so now by simply clicking the “Redeem” button and the sats will be sent to your Lightning address.
