Best horror movies you’ve seen?

I’ll go first.

In no particular order:

Exorcist

As above so below

Terrified (Not Terrifier)

House of a 1000 corpses series

The Ring

Ritual

Wailing

Hell House, LLC series

A lot of South Korean movies

Talk to Me - was pretty solid

Signs - I’ll squeeze in here for the few jump scares have to rewatch and see if it holds up

I distinguish between horror, gruesome, and thriller.

For gruesome/thriller I pile in Terrifier series, Saw series, Parasite, Train to Busan, Halloween series, Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, etc.

Some of these may not qualify traditionally in these buckets but just doing a quick mind dump. Guaranteed I’m forgetting some.

Unpopular opinion: not a fan of the alien or living dead series. I did like Prometheus though, maybe the cinematography?

Texas chainsaw massacre(2003 version)

Highly recommend the psychological thriller The Jacket

And it’s not really horror but Skeleton key was interesting

Oh and not horror movie but has Aliens which I never was a big fan of but The Fourth Kind was good

That’s a good list. I have to rewatch some. Descent was good, I liked it better on a second watch recently.
