You know what “eating clean” used to be called? Eating.
Walking around stores, I’m astonished at the percentage of junk compared to the percentage of real food.

👆this…and it literally hurts others (e.g. me) what people put into their bodies 😭
Ya I have spent the last 6 months really cleaning up my diet and trying to buy local produce, meat, and dairy. Surprising I spend less on food monthly but eat way better
equally astonishing how inexpensive it can be to cook and eat very healthy
Example:
Pigs feet - $5
Country pork rib - $15
Boil all day with salt and you get the most delicious bowl of ramen you ever ate - add you favorite noodles and some scallion
Feed 4 ppl for a couple days
Nice! Ya if you just choose to buy quality food and eat out less (or not at all) you actually end up spending way less on groceries!
but yes totally agree 90 percent plus of food in a grocery store is total garbage
I smdh at the stuff in ppls carts
Oh man, I wish I took pictures of some people’s carts……absolutely mind blowing. I’m always surprised how many carts are 50% cereal and soda.
