You would think they would be more open minded when talking to someone that is clearly doing well. It is a symptom of the momentum of indoctrination they have received all their lives, or desperation that the fix they have chosen could be wrong.

In addition, anything more complex that one sentence of “eat this” or “don’t eat this” is TLDR;

I fast (and eat meat/fat preferentially) and have had exactly one person over the last 4 years ask to really understand.

Isn’t it incredible? Most people who remember me obese do ask what I do to keep fit now. When I tell them I usually get one of 2 answers-

“I could never do that, I’d miss _____

too much.” FYI it’s always something processed and unhealthy.

Or “There is no way eating like that is healthy for you.”

In the end, it has to be sustainable. Not just to lose w/e you want. It has to be part of your life and not just a punishment you are putting yourself through to “drop the pounds”
