One of the most important aspects of parenting is getting to experience the magic and innocence of childhood again. To remember this experience again, that now, as adults, most of us are estranged to, is truly to remember one of the most quintessential human experiences.

It fades.
Hopefully thats what dementia feels like.
It’s also a bit entertaining, living vicariously through your children. You get to see where they succeed and fail, but there’s usually little personal risk, but you’re always rooting for them to end up in a better spot
Totally. Enjoying the results of great parenting is another. The living perpetual proof that you're responsible for raising a happy, critical thinking human ready for a bitcoin standard is a natural antidepressant.
Your inner child is awakened by the wonder of your own child.
I find out if we're having a boy or girl next week. Hope I can give them a similar childhood that I had.
Have you ever had a bad experience
It allows us to reflect on our own childhood & when we lost our innocence.
I saw how much my parents suppressed my authentic expression. How much of their own fears that they passed on to me. To my horror I realised that I was doing the same to my children.
I course corrected as best I could & also realised that it was folly to think they could carry that innocence into adulthood.
What I now realise is that it was never my responsibility to condition or shape them one way or another. That they each had their own innate drives, quirks & personalities that had little to do with their environment. I just needed to provide them an environment so that they could play with who they were without suffering too much harm.
Having kids can give you incredible insight into who we are.
An opportunity to question everything when everything is questioned......
Children give us the chance to be reborn, so people have two lives.
Openess, joy, carelessness, no man made constrains! How awesome!😄
Becoming a parent is not just about guiding a new life; it's about rediscovering life itself. It reminds us of what truly matters and anchors us to the profound beauty and meaning of simply being alive.
Amen to this. Fave of my 4 year old at the moment is collecting bugs
Literally anything gets a good look at. So much so the 4 & 2 yr old were arguing over a magnifying glass yday
Point being it makes one slow down, revel in nature again, and see the big questions all over again
Word! Parents are from Mars and NoKiders are from Venus.
Parenting is like long life time job . Your time is no longer yours but to parenting your children .
That’s beautiful 🥺
And for those not in the "most" camp, its great to finally have some people around who are on your level
💎✨✨✨✨💎 absolutely💎✨✨✨✨💎
don't forget the endless finger poking in your butt, too.
