Well I access on both my laptop and phone during the day, so those numbers could be a little high.

Nostr.band shows about 12k daily high quality pub key writing events. How is it that snort has 40k?

Writing events maybe, we're talking about paying to read here basically

I think a regular visitor is not going to pay anything if they are not an active nostr user themselves

You might get 1% of active users IF that… so like 120 people 😆

The load is generated by reading though so it doesn't make sense to charge to write events

Yes but what I mean is that a casual visitor is not going to fork over money, yet alone sats. They probably don’t even know what that is.

Yea probably there will be some free quota and then you need to pay, or simply ask somebody to pay for your days usage. 40 sats is not much

I guess it would be crappy though if you're using a gossip model though and you're connecting to like 30 relays and they all want a payment
