LOL id be dead on day 1
B just for the axe, Iβm building a house and then using the matches to burn it down settings the whole island on fire killing all life except me, leaving all the animals already cooked and boom I have all the food I need π

All the guys say B, but im with you on this. Would chose A too.
Lighters gonna run out so gonna need to learn to mek fire anyways. Tarp can catch condens/rain water + provides shelter with cord. Knife can be turned into spear. crossbow for food. No need for pot; will cook on stick and can mek bowls from wood to keep water in.

Good luck hunting small animals with a crossbow. Unless you plan to attack other bitcoiners to get their 10 bitcoins, both crossbow and animal trap are useless. That's why I proposed the chickens trade. Also, how would it rain without sacrificing a chicken?
I have reasons to believe the matches are enough to last for one year with option B. With A you only get 40 water tablets. I'd rather be drinking water daily, that's all I'm saying.

B. The island is small, probably not a permanent freshwater source. That means you would need to distil sea water. A spear for fishing would be handy.

On a tropical island, I'm not convinced I could find dry enough wood to start a fire & that pot for boiling water would be clutch!

Without fire 1/3 wouldn't reach Day 2.
Also, drinking water without salt is very important to survive.
The island looks small, so chances to catch big animals is small to none.
One year with no eggs is problematic, you'd be gambling on wild birds in this case.

Man that's tough, but gotta go with the tarp. Might be the only way to get water there and last a while. Unless that's not an ocean... in that case I'd go B.
