This past year, I have been in the process of decentralizing my entire life & embracing the pseudonymous/anonymous lifestyle. 💁‍♂️

I've already burned as much of my Web 2.0 existence as possible; I only keep social media for ease of DMs w/normies, but have discontinued using "news" feeds (other than RSS for research purposes). 🤷‍♂️

My life feels so more more unchaotic/uncluttered than ever before & my purpose moving forward is clear. 🫡

One of the last dominoes to fall is to get rid of #Google products & services. This week I've taken the first steps in completely cutting off the privatized surveillance state by completely discontinuing the use of & uninstalling Chrome from all devices. 👁️

10/10 recommend this for anyone. 🤙

We dont hate google enough. It feels good to get rid of them.

Current #Google purge status:

#Drive? Empty. 🗃️

#Photos? None. 🖼️

#Gmail? Scrubbed. 📨

#Chrome? Replaced. 🗑️

#Maps? GPS/History off. 🫥

#Calendar? Barren. 🗓️

#Search? DuckDuckGo. 🔍

#Gemini? Duck #AI. 🦆

#YouTube is a nightmare to replace, but I have history turned off. 📺

#PlayStore is still there, but I try to use @Zapstore

when I can. 🛒

#Keep stays until I can find a better syncing notes app. ✍️

#Translate is still essential since I'm shit w/languages, can't speak the language where I live & deal w/international clients. 🤐

Ditched SIM & data; rocking #WiFi only on #VPN. 📶

All app permissions are nerfed to the absolute max (right before the point of making my #Android unusable). 🤙

#ProofOfWork

Use Standard Notes for notes. And use DeepL for translations

I know alternates to all of those
