While shovelling, I had a guy pull up to the end of the driveway. He quickly got out of his truck and started helping me shovel. I was pretty surprised. He told me he came to shovel an elderly woman’s walkway that lives in the neighbourhood and pointed towards the house. I was the only person out shovelling so I guess he wanted to help me out. It was definitely welcomed.

After he left I thought to myself how I wish I took the time to talk to him about bitcoin. I would have loved to give him some sats for his generosity.

How would you open the conversation about bitcoin to a stranger on the fly?

Just share your exact thoughts at that time to him in that moment. Be shameless, it has it's perk in social interactions as well.

Sometimes in an Uber, it will come up in conversation. Most people who do that are pretty independent and dislike govt and banks, so it's an easier thing to discuss. But it's more in passing. I'm not trying to orange-pill everything that walks, either.

Haha I literally do this everyday. I get phone calls from recruiters, mortgage brokers, marketers, etc. I’ll let them go on for a bit and then I’ll answer them short and quick. Then I’ll blatantly ask them, “hey, do you buy Bitcoin?” The answers are often wild, but the conversation is even more fun. You strike out some, but you also make a lot of friends this way.

Love this!! I talk about bitcoin with my friends and family but want to get more people on board. If he stops by again, I’ll be ready for him lol. Bitcoin is the way and I think it would be so fun to gift someone some sats that will exponentially grow with time!

Do it! You seem very approachable. I’m certain it will go well! I highly recommend Strike wallet for easy new guy use if you find yourself trying to get him to download a wallet. Helps eliminate some of the confusion with lightening and BTC. Just my two sats!

Must be something and shovelling lol I had a guy help me shovel at the outdoor rink last night too.

I would say people trust me as well. One dad asked me if I was going to be at the rink for a little while longer and asked if I could watch his son for 10 minutes so he could run home and get his stick.. I agreed but had never met him before. 20 minutes later and he came back. I found it a bit odd but 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am so guarded. I would be worried the guy would know where I live AND know I'm a bitcoiner if I said anything.

Yes I’ve thought of that too. On one hand I want to share about bitcoin and on the other I don’t want to put a target on my back.
