Normies can't handle #Bitcoin because it's not enough to not be made poor, it's not enough for their purchasing power and freedom to go up - they want to be congratulated and entertained the entire time and if that doesn't happen, they're out.

They should probably just stack sats and stay humble. But perhaps a number of them want money just to be seen as rich versus freedom
Their concern is not being left out. They buy when its high because they think they are getting left out and want to be a part of what everyone is doing. Then they don't buy when its low because they think buying will leave them left out since the concensus hasn't signaled it is good. Same reason they line up for untested medical experiments. Same reason they'de walk off a cliff if the news told them to.
