The flaw of Nostr 2.0 was asking users to pay so often to put roots on-chain… certainly doesn’t work for normies…
but the power of the blockchain as a central coordination point for rare updates that everyone can access is pretty useful.
Rare updates like this, for example… tying a decentralized DNS to a relay that holds a list of all the relays you write to. Would only need to pay an on-chain fee if that first relay you chose goes down.
