US seems charged & uncertain by comparison.

Seriously considering.

Thought about El Salvador... Why Costa Rica?

not a dictatorship, relatively unarmed state, general respect for private property, can spend Bitcoin in some markets, welcoming people, amazing beaches. just feels really

els was a bit bleak by comparison to be honest

Sounds like my kind of place. Definitely looking for places to go if US gets sideways..

El Salvador is a dictatorship by who's definition? Bukele was democratically elected and has > 90% independent approval rating

CR is not easy for foreigners. Great country to holiday in. But owning property comes withissues. Crime a bit of an issue also. All in all a great place but many I knew (including myself) left after a few years.

Will relocate for surf, bitcoiners, and freedom

pura fucking vida

Ive been looking for a year or so now, but in the central valley not the beach.

Amazing place. Have thought about it too. CR has squatter's rights so need to hire a local caretaker when away.

I was looking around the turn of the century - at that time there were some strange laws around losing your title if you didn't use the property.

Your post is getting a lot of shares.

Seriously considering! Oaxaca (city) has also been on the top of my list. Squatter's right is definitely something to consider in CR.

yes, looking to invest in a farm.
