Where'd you source your panels and power management equipment? Wanting to set up a 1600 watt system myself.

NYT ran a story about The Fourth Turning.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/08/style/fourth-turning-pop-culture.html

Basically, the book came along in the 1990s and said there would be a big crisis in the late 2000s, and then the 2010s-2020s would have a lot of similarities to the 1930s and 1940s for various qualitative/generational/cyclical reasons.

Normally I'm not really into that sort of qualitative/cyclical analysis, but when I'm sitting around making all sorts of quantitative charts that turn out like this:

Then I'm like:

Ummm, maybe you should mention you're quoted in it! So modest. Congrats Lyn!

Jason is saying the quiet part out loud. Not everyone will agree but certainly some in power do, meaning it is a de facto definition of Bitcoin. This is just one more network integrity test.

Thanks for pressing hard to clarify the finer points of his case.

Can someone remind me what the relay set icons mean? I think I get Home, DMs, Public, Global. But what's the magnifying glass icon... and "Spa" on far right?

If they're toggled on then are you asking that relay to display/record that information?

I can't help but have the random mental image from the Prologue of Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon where Bobby Shaftoe is formulating Haiku while tearing through the Shanghai banking district at settlement hour.

I recall a conversation you had with #[2] on #[3] 2 years ago where you discussed the challenge of interpreting S2F as it approaches infinity. Is there value in inverting this to so that it decays to zero ("F2S")?

Comparing this "F2S" number for various indices with respect to each other (i.e. USD, BTC, Gold, Real Estate...) might reveal a "winner" for base unit of account and there may be some minimum value at which one unit overtakes another as the base.

Nostr reminds me a lot of IRC. Has the same grassroots feel to it. IRC is more centralized though, right?
