βš‘οΈπŸ’¬ Sometimes I feel like a simple peasant in Age of Empires.

For 210 days, I've been chopping wood, gathering and building - without always seeing the immediate fruits of my labor. My village Nostr is still in the Dark Ages. But I know that the Feudal Age will come, then the Age of Castles... and one day, the Imperial Age.

I won't be a villager forever. By dint of perseverance, strategy and rigor, one day I'll have the legitimacy to become a soldier - or even a warlord. But not for myself. For the edifice we're building together here on Nostr.

Imagine the feel of a peasant in the game that just finished a building only to see it destroyed by the invading army of the rival player. At least on Nostr you can’t fall victim of that by breaking some arbitrary rule of the platform. You only have to build with low time preference friend. 🫑πŸ’ͺ

210 days, I'm taking my time, aren't I?

That game was the best. I had a blast playing it.

I play it again from time to time in definitive edition.

Let's hope that it will not get wiped out with a knight rush in the.Castle Age

I no have that harp song stuck in my head from when you first spawn. Excellent note!
