There is zero chance I would buy a car that cost more than 120,000 cuckbucks. But, under the right circumstances, I would definitely buy an airplane.

After flying commercial for work, even though I'll probably not be able to afford one, I can see the appeal of a private jet.

If I were extremely wealthy, I would probably still just one off hire private jets, I dont think Id drop a couple million on a jet, but I would buy a small aircraft because I've always wanted to learn to fly.

FWIW, chartering private isn't as expensive as you might think, 3-5K per person. I mean that's a lot but way cheaper than buying a 30 million dollar gulfstream lol

I mean, if you're already balling without a budget, then 3 to 5k a flight probably isn't that bad.

Ya I mean I have a few clients that always fly private and its very affordable for them. One has a fractional share in a jet so they just coordinate with the other owners through a service. It's just like that old saying, you dont want to own a boat you want to have a friend who owns a boat.

Makes sense.

Commercial is safer. Private aviation is much more lax on safety. Just had another private plane crash here in San Diego early this morning. I can think of at least three private crashes in this city alone in the last few years.

Hire a nexperienced pilot. Most people make errors in two dimensions, adding a third is more than most of us can handle. An error in the air can have more dramatic consequences than on the ground.

🫡 Ya absolutely, you pay for what you get, and I want to pay for living longer.

Look into airships.
