Looks like Elon’s comment that he might start charging everybody to use X has caused a flood of new signups for bluesky. Have we seen something similar for Nostr?

Image uploads have been consistent around 3k a day, if anything they’ve dwindled a bit over the last few days..
There's no way wlon is gonna charge for X. I think it was just a throwaway comment.
But yeah bluesky is hoovering up from it. Nostr hasn't had any noticeable wave of new users imo

Although I do like to do a a search on bluesky for 'nostr'. There is a noticeable increase of mentions there outside of nostr people promoting it. Albeit mostly negative and poopooing lol. I think it's due to Jack deleting and people wondering where he is. Excellent marketing campaign for nostr if deliberate, even if it is just for brand recognition rather than new users.
Consensus seems to be 'nostr is for cryptobros', which tbf isn't that inaccurate (yes yes I know I know 'bitcoin not crypto' lol).
didn't see anything on the stats . nostr is slow adoption , bluesky has stars and a CEO .
people love CEOs , so they can yell at them 😉
