Primal sucks

no one here is saying that they need to change their rules, we are simply discussing the hypocrisy to advertise as freedom from censorship while actively supressing and censoring users.

they are free to do whatever they want, it’s their client, but we as users are free to discuss it.

What they soon will find is that censorship online is unconstitutional and actually illegal.

No they won’t. Because it isn’t.

Watch.

Nah.

Censorship online is terrible. But it’s not illegal unfortunately. It’s the bread and butter of a lot of companies

I’m not saying it’s illegal.. but potentially illegal. There’s a grey area where censorship, or denying/degrading a users’ access based on content can be considered “bullying” by tech firms, harmful to users and anti-competitive.

On decentralized platforms I agree. On centralized platforms, it’s their bread and butter

I’m referring to centralized. There’s legislation currently being looked about this very topic by the FCC.

I doubt google, meta, X (and others who live on censorship) will accept this without a fight, just because the fcc is looking into it

There is a difference between censorship and giving my attention to. It’s a fine line.

Intent matters but try to guess what mine are. I can’t even tell what’s going on in ny own mind.

If you don’t own something, then you don’t make the rules.
