Don't use in-app browsers. Always open external links from apps in your default (more privacy friendly) browsers. I use Brave.

Exact opposite. The problem is when you use an app’s in-app browser. This is because the app has full control of their own browser. If you use your phone’s default browser, the app has no control over it.
