It’s funny when I hear/see conservatives say things like this. Because the only years the U.S. has had a “socialist” president. Is known as the golden years. The golden years are also the time period those same conservatives want to return to. This style of governing was so prosperous for the majority of Americans that FDR is the only president to serve 4 terms. But you have been convinced by your corporate overlords that it’s bad. The only thing that was bad, is that they (the corporate overlords) were paying their fair share of funding the country. When you say “We could afford it “ what you’re actually saying is “they” could afford it”. Because you aren’t one of them. if “you” could afford anything, you wouldn’t be complaining.
