Ok, so with the help of all the folks who replied to my dilemma about coldcard and opsec, i am going to research which devices offer a stateless option. Maybe coldcard does and i just didnt know. Anyway, that setup sounds much less complicated for long term hodling. I think i would be more afraid of forgetting where i hid something. But i can handle several copies of a seed, on metal, and a device that requires the seed to access the bitcoin. Just sounds simpler, and for me, less risky. I will definitely look at this, thanks. So with this method, if something happens to the seedsignr, i can still restore wallet using Sparrow or something similar?
I'm looking into a seedsigner as well. I think you load the seed into it with seed words or seedqr each time it is powered up. There's a self custody guide on their GitHub.
