It's an open protocol, you can do what you want. Boosting a banger of a note for people in other timezones helps with it's visibility though.
If you have a banger of a note, boosting it later in the day for more people to see it absolutely helps. We don't have algorithms to bring our content forward. This is all part of the being your own algorithm process.

You're could look at it differently. There is no algorithm to bring content forward and help with discovery on the vast majority of clients. You're helping your followers in differ timezones and with different usage habits than your own find your content. Boost other's content too. We all have to do the work.
The question is: if your content is truly based wouldn't others repost it till the other time zones are active?
In my opinion nostr's algorithm should be organic in the sense that others like your content enough to keep it visible.

So you mean to tell me, in an organic setting, you've never told two different groups of people the same story at different intervals? I don't see any difference here.
Oh 💯 have but oral communication is a bit different than having an artifact accessible to others who can bring it to the forefront... Each to his own
My man until we get algorithms here to help people find good content, I'm going to keep telling people to be their own algorithms. It seems to be working thus far. Until that changes, this is the best way to help the plebs have their voices heard. If you're not a fan of it, that's fine. 🫂

Much of what I post here, I've already posted elsewhere, although from time to time I try and put original content here and then repost it in the "elsewheres."
I may not write stellar content every time all the time, but I do believe that much of my content is really good and important for the right audiences. If I don't boost it, who will?🤔😜
