What do you do with people who don't understand that triple entry accounting doesn't work if you don't have the link back to original issuance?

Or with people who don't understand that without something like proof of work as a real world cost there is no apolitical way to reach consensus?

Or those who don't understand that the primary goal (above all else) is to create monetary assurances & solve trust problems that destroy our ability to trade & allocate resources?

Or with those who don't understand network effects, or who don't understand the inherent limitations of broadcast networks & why a layered architecture is necessary, or that anything an altcoin can do can be done in layers on top of #Bitcoin without having to deal with any exchange rate complications?

I think some people are just destined to learn their lessons the hard way.

Sometimes it’s better not to engage with thems who don’t understand.

In the early days of the Internet you had to be somewhat computer literate to use it.

Now everyone uses it daily and most people have no clue how it works. It just works for them.

And many people wasted lots of time & energy arguing over the protocol & promoting competing base layer features rather than focusing on the need for simplicity & robust data transfer. History repeats & the losses will be far more painful, monetarily speaking.

The lesson is that once the protocol is proven functional, improving UX leads to mass adoption. People shouldn't have to "study Bitcoin". It should just work for them.

You give them time to simmer. The world keeps getting more and more hostile to them, they just don't know it yet.

In the meantime go find people who are willing to learn and throw some orange & purple pills their way.

Everyone understands this - because everyone has some one in their lineage who said with her dollars that #gold was the best money ..

All altcoins (whether they like it or not) are just (inefficient, poorly planned out) scaling layers on top of Bitcoin - change my mind

First draft layer 2 testnets for mostly bad ideas.
