"Tbh I went on and just a lot of laser eyed btc maxi retards"

I was trying to explain nostr to a real cypherpunk, and this was his reaction. It's a common reaction but slightly dismissive of the whole of nostr. How do we make a better impression to technologists and cypherpunks?

From the context of the conscious mind:

If I'm angry with you, the personality of defense or predatory aggression now has me in its grip. It's dominant from a neurological perspective. It's suppressing all other personalities. So now when you talk to me, any word that you say that I could interpret as irritating is going to be much more obvious, and anything that you say that would be peacemaking, I would regard cynically. And I would be looking in my interactions with you for pathways to victory. And it wouldn't be all that I would see that, but also, if you asked me to justify my actions while we were arguing, even if I became cruel, that drive that is a personality would have all those arguments at hand too. So it's a full fledge personality, also has it's own emotional systems because if i'm gripped by rage, I could easily be happy to see you suffer. But if i'm gripped by compassion, seeing you suffer is going to put me in pain.

If only he could apply this to himself today ๐Ÿ˜

I think he discovered this fairly recently. The video posted 2 days ago.

A real cypherpunk should not care about a social network. A real cyoherpunk is antisocial and hidden by definition.

A โ€˜realโ€™ cypherpunk wouldnโ€™t make a comment like that. Unless itโ€™s a self deprecating comment. ๐Ÿคช

All about community demarcation. Right now there's only really one community to on Nostr pick from. It didn't suit him. That's fair enough. If I joined a new network and the only community to pick from was kitchen-renovation maxis, I'd also be out.

If there were three or four clearly demarcated communities on Nostr then he'd have had a better chance of picking a community he liked.

There's a gradually increasing amount of good content and discussions. Let's make that more visible (zap, repost, like) so more people join --> create a positive feedback loop

It's a long term effort, but don't forget Nostr is still very young and hardly has any capital backing adoption. The adoption we have is all organic, and it's all real

Embrace Monero, the true cypherpunks coin to the protocol ๐Ÿ˜‰

nah

Why not?

The ideology should be freedom tech not bitcoin tech ๐Ÿ‘€

But this is only my opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰
