1. After this 4th halving will be brutal. The game start to be really tense and we will see really dirty moves around.
2. Halving reward is like cutting in half your income. Not only miners will get paid half, but also the users.
3. Who is cheering up more about this? Fiat maxis, that they think NgU will save them. They are wrong. Fiat mentality and gov compliance is what will kill Bitcoin.

I'm cheering about it because in 2013 I was told it was going to happen, then I researched and verified it is actually going to happen, then I watched it happen 2016, and again in 2020 and now in 2024 I'm supposed to be sad that is going to happen again?
Maybe you get your wish and the degens will reorg for a rare sat and cause chaos around the halving block, that would be the only reason for a little sadness, even though the halving will still happen just with a bit more chaos.
I like the halving because of what it represents. Its a demonstration of the verifiability of network rules and predictable monetary policy in stark contrast to the fiat system.

Fees were expected to be go up, but in a more natural way, slowly, based on regular growth of the network.
But on top of that, now we have to deal with idiots that only want to make almost impossible to use Bitcoin.
