nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z, can you please implement a #Monero wallet into Amethyst (Γ  la garnet)? I miss daily driving the lastest #Amethyst, and the demand for #Monero integration is demonstrably solid.

The beauty of FOSS is anyone can fork Amethyst and build whatever functionality they want into it.

This! Thanks!

Just fork it and pull from upstream after each release. I don't know why Garnet is not doing it.

Garnet dev didn't even forked amethyst.

He copied the code and created another repo

The build instructions are not working

And he asks for money even for changing the app id

Are you interested in forking garnet?

Thanks for the info! I cannot install the apk on my Graphene.

If it's implemented like zaps your loosing privacy.

There is this point … and what’s the value of monero over bitcoin if it’s not privacy?

Feels like "Monero's too private; let's add a ton of distributed personal metadata around it!"

Honestly. I’d rather not. πŸ”’

Nothing is broadcast to the Nostr network by default. The same thing as normally sending someone Monero. It just makes tipping someone on Nostr more convenient. Also, if you have a Monero address somewhere on your profile any Garnet user can one-click tip any of your notes.

You can choose not to broadcast a note with a Monero payment, keeping g the tip completely private.

It's also the default tip mode πŸ‘Œ

What do you mean be done with the pay to dev work? Implementing Monero doesn't solve income for devs. πŸ€”

Monero is getting more essential nowadays. Makes sense to have it inside nostr as common currency.

Garnet has a lot of promise but is lagging behind hard. Didn't know about the weird licensing stuff either. Needs a lot of work, but seems relatively simple for the most part.

Can't we just pay for features? Like a reverse bounty list... A wish-list with multi-sig escrow after project completion or deliverables? Is this the github killer app?
