Welcome, feel free to lose the account and create a new one. Don't worry, there's no single database of user accounts so you're not spamming anyone. Everything here is a note, including your profile.

I'm not sure I can help you with your particular issue, I don't use an iPhone which is what damus runs on.

I do hear they are working on cross platform apps, but I don't think it's out yet.

If you don't trust your phone, you should know that there are power tools like nsecbunker and other remote signing tools that could help. Feel free to create an account, experiment, and create another account when you feel like you know what you're doing. Just try not to build yourself a reputation until you've created your last account (or accounts if you want to have different personas)

Try just and copy and paste it to another location and write it down from there? Yea not sure but you definitely need the whole thing. You can run Damus on any device now after the last update. You can run it on your desktop and stop using your dumb iphone haha as you say

Another thing some people do is list down some of the things they are interested in, then maybe you can get some suggestions on hashtags or people to follow. Can find a lot of interesting stuff that way.

This is a great source to get you started if you have questions about parts of the Nostr process. If you are not a fan, DON’T GIVE UP. At least try a different Client first. What client/clients are you currently using? Some popular ones I see that people use a lot are Amethyst, Damus, Primal, and Nostur. It’s important to try and keep this alive and moving forward. Once you do have a good handle on Nostr in general, this youtube vid will show you how to set up that lightning feature for payments if you are running Damus. The same thing applies to other lightning wallets as well if you don’t have or want or have access to Wallet of Satoshi
