Reports are basically only used by clients (amethyst) and only if the people doing the reporting are followed by people who follow you (afaik).
My relay does not use them. I check my own relay for things like CP. We do not censor people for pissing other people off.
Every relay operator can do things differently, but as far as I can tell, almost no relays action reports in an automated way.
Thank you for the explanation. I think I remember now that about amethyst, but these reports shouldn't really affect anything if theyre weird spam accounts? Although there is a fair amount of 'follow4follow' culture on nostr for this to potentially be a problem🤔?
That's a relief. Then that's at least two relays they can't get me banned from.
Some of them, unfortunately, are followed by people who follow me. This is the sort of thing that has caused me to stop recommending people follow everyone back. WoT doesn't work if you follow spammers, bots, and nutjobs.

Yeah, but it's work to go through the list to unfollow. If I see them post something spammy I unfollow/mute
