I really want to see a Long-form-content-only mobile client. No DMs, no Notifications, no posts. Just long reads and highlighter options.

Google Reader-style.

I was playing around with this idea, built a simple one that published articles via lovable.dev but I'm no dev at all.

As you can see here I got one published with it, that's about all it could do though.

I'd like it too!

I feel like YakiHonne is best suited to create such a client. They could just make a Yaki version with all that unwanted functionality stripped out, leaving just their long-form functionality, which is excellent.

I thought that was what they were going for initially, but things change ..

I’d love to find an actual privacy phone

GrapheneOS is alright, no?

Yeah, but no one uses desktop anymore. :(

Fuck yeah

this is unrelated, but are you writing on jellyfish relay? my amethyst shows your replys are coming from jellyfish but your other posts are not in jellyfish. i want to make sure if you are writing on jellyfish yourself, then i will look why writes are not integrated.

this feature is helpful that shows which relays are storing this note.

Yeah, I had it until now in my list for testing :)

oh, that's cool. so i need to check the issue.

if you faced any issues please report to us. 🫡

in v1 it would be a paid relay, ill consider a lifetime subscription for you. thank you for testing.

Yes! And optimized for eInk.

But how would that be different than a simple RSS reader?

same

You know what would be cool, client side feeds, you add whatever pubkeys you want to show up to each, it doesn't go on your follows list and you can enter event kinds to display for each feed. So someone could create a longform only feed right in amethyst. Or a torrent feed for example.

Yes! But I’m quite happy with the articles NIP-23) feed in Nostur on my iOS device

Yeah, they can show in kind 1 clients fine, but it's really hard to read with all the kind 1 distractions bugging you all the time (zaps, reactions, replies, etc)

I agree

I use the reader modus in my mobile browser quite a lot which also works with habla.news

This.

I love single purpose apps and #Nostr is the perfect place to explore stuff like that. I would love this too
