There are many ways to make electricity, and many aren’t very efficient/clean/environmentally friendly, but can’t blame an industry for stupid use.

We are all stupid humans. Solar and nuclear are excellent sources of cleans and abundant energy, but without proper evolution of the technology, it can be very dirty also..
Solar farms are junk. Look terrible, kill animals needlessly & are just fucking stupid.
Nuclear = clean, efficient, small footprint.

good for backup and remote locations for sure
but diesel generators are pretty reliable, the design of the engine is perfect for a relatively constant load and they scale down better than steam powered
Not just for backup. I haven’t been to a gas station or paid an electric bill in years and my cells are still like new. Of course this doesn’t work in Portland 🤣
I have an ice generator also in case, loud and stinky, but yes effective for emergencies.
Pro tip: Install cells yourself for a fraction of the price.
