Already the fact that AI art is called AI art makes it clear that it is not art.
Just as AI photography is not photography.
Whether or not it can be liked is another matter.

AI has no place in the arts. Any form of art.
What about as a tool to create a template for someone? Or to learn about art? What if someone wants to use Ai to review or edit their writing?
If someone has to use it to edit their writing then they’re not a writer.
Editor is litterally a job. They're replacing the expensive 3rd party.
You are confusing the job of an editor, with the verb edit in software.
... but that whalephant... 😜
It’s hard for me to say to an artist that the generated thing is art, so I think about it in the context of my field… is generated UX still user design? I think the answer is Yes. I’ve asked lls to think of the best UX and they definitely try. Usually the result is not great - but some of that could be due to my poor inputs and lack of context. “Reasoning” LLMs may be much better, we’ll see. But even today I’d classify the outputs as generated UX designs.
Bonjour,
Yeah, yeah, and Lino Art is not art because it is called Lino Art... It is in fact just damaged linoleum. 🤣
Same with LLMs. They are not thinking, or reasoning (also not the new openai model) it's just pattern recognition and slight variations for generation. I'm in shock looking what companies currently think they should/can do with "AI".
