Grains are optional in a dogs diet and should not be fed too much. They are not build to digest raw grains. In the wild they would eat predigested / fermented grains from the stomach of their prey.

IMO a good diet has 70% meat and 30% veggies and and fruits. The ratio of meat can be even higher but always have a look that the dog should have vitamins like D3 and minerals. Good ready-to-eat dogfood will be have them added.

I don't stock fruits or veg because I don't eat them. I feed him eggs and ground beef cooked in ghee butter. I think I cover the macro and micro nutrients 🤔

Beef and egg is a good source of protein as well as the egg yolk gives vitamins. Might wanna add some berries or veggies for further nutrition. TBH I use shelf food (wet and dry) wich contains herbs, apple and potato. I add yoghurt, bentonite and powder of green-lipped mussel. The last two are individually and have a reasoning.

I'll look more into this thank you!
