I am considering making the switch to Linux, fedora and mint are my main two distros I am looking into, thoughts?

I am somewhat familiar with Debian based, Ubuntu… but don’t want to go that route, I am a windows person…

What should I do? What distro would be best?

I like Ubuntu. What makes mint better?

I have heard there update schedule is better, maybe not true

I’m good with slow updates, that’s why I chose Bitcoin. Unbuntu and Parmanode for the win.

Be ready for a world of pain. 🤣

Hahhha, sage advise

I kid of course. Have fun.

Lol, it was different and more in the comment line than windows… but on principle I like it better… it just relearning things… comes down to time, what do you use?

I use a messed up version of Ark because it comes in the Steam Deck.

My Steam deck is my primary PC.

Yo! I want one so bad! Messing with it for fun? Or did you need to?

I wanted something to play games but also double as a PC. And since it was relatively cheap I went with it. I think it was $350.

But I really hate Arch and they also locked the OS in a way that makes it even more difficult. I might end up installing windows on it really.

Oh that’s is lame… so not a good all on one pc… more for just gaming

It works. Not the best setup.

I’m new to it and I have been having fun with Debian lately.

Ya, Debian seems to be easy to get into but I have heard it isn’t developed as well as others… like the updates are slower, do you know if that is true?

That sounds right but also would depend on what you are trying to do and what matters to you. I think Debian is fine for me in regards to my particular goals.

Damn, I’d like to. But I can’t make it out tonight.

Aight, next time
