to be fair to Amethyst, the client actually shows the entire thread of videos. other clients such as Primal or Snort show only one or two notes in the thread making you have to work to view the next video in the chain. there are plusses and minuses to both methods.

You can also in the settings, select the video playback, select "never" to turn off auto playback
