Why do people complain about the CEO-employee pay gap but not the professional athlete-stadium janitor pay gap?

Conspiracy?!?!

Ignorance.

Probably because there is a clearer connection between employee and CEO vs janitor and athlete. It’s unclear how a janitor contributes to the outcome of the game.

How does the janitor at a single office of a Fortune 500 company contribute to the company’s stock performance?

Trick question?

Almost always ;)

They are too busy complaining about how much professional athletes make to compare it to anything.

Quite a few do. Amateur is better than proffessional sports. And alot of critisism for going to qatar etc.

I firmly believe that at my current company most members of the maintenance department could do about as good of a job at being CEO as our current CEO

That being said, I work in healthcare so that's not saying much

Stupidity

we're betting $68 billion on a single game tomorrow, and during its TV coverage a 30 second advertisement costs $7M just to run

Simplicity of ignorance ™️

Example 1 🤣
