It's brutally difficult to break into the Nostr developer network because the discussion is all mixed in with social media chitchat and nobody looks at anything their followers didn't post, anymore.

And, no, hashtags don't really work.

Neither do DVMs. Neither do lists.

The technical discussion needs to move to a place like GitWorkship or something, so that the discussion there is only about technical stuff. So that your time-pressed question about the proper implementation of NIP-14 doesn't get drowned out by a Damus update, whatever Jack said, and a famous chick's derrière.

i might be sounding like a broken record but if you are a nostr dev, it is probably even more important

small follow lists are beautiful

Most of the more well-known devs aren't actually using Nostr for development conversation. They're just marketing here. They have their own Slack, or whatever.

But most devs aren't more well-known, so we're out of the convo. And if we try to start one, it's like *crickets*. Or the other devs mute us.

these well known devs are also not eating their own dogfood so that makes their fame negated by their credibility

They show up once or twice a month to zap some e-girl spouting inane nonsense, tell us how great things are gonna be, and then disappear again. LOL We can all sit here and watch it in real time. Unbelievable.

They hardly use their own apps.
