I think just like that - use tags so they reach people with similar interests. But if there's a better way, I want to know too

I do need to use the tags more, I just don't want to come across as annoying or overuse them

A couple at the end of a note is fine. I get annoyed when there is a bunch that dont apply.

Hashtag the heck out of it...with relevant tags...don't spam the grownostr or plebchain tags. Then follow the tags of things you want to see.

Imo its only annoying if the note isn't really about the tag. But many tags can be fine.

This issue could be mitigated if there was a way to minimize a note without unfollowing or blocking anything. Maybe there is and I just don't know...

Make a client that makes the fontsize 50% of baseline for "these annoy me" hashtags ha ha
