I don't believe countries should allow (or recognize) dual citizenship, or at the very least they should not be allowed to run for public office.

Well ... that's up to the individual country.
Yes it is up to the country, but I'm saying It is dumb for any country to do it. Because no two countries that a person could be dual citizens of have identical policies and desires, so there is an innate conflict of interest within the dual citizen.
People should be devoted to principles, not blindly devoted to a nation's policies.
I would agree if there were even one country truly working for its citizens. But I do agree with you on the latter.
curious how many countries still find it okay
as what you're hopint for has been the standard here for quite some time
Italy does. I am technically the last generation in my family that qualifies to be great grandfathered in.
I think it's a good program because what if you can't get into a country with one passport but can with the other.
judging folks based on their spawn point and home server is highly regarded
Its a good proxy for somethings tho. Especially imagine if that country doesn't share digital records with other countries.
Maybe this is why very few Jews run for President. I believe dual citizens are prohibited.
At the very least it would have saved the UK from the catastrophe that was the Boris Johnson Govt. In the end he was forced to renounce his US citizenship to avoid the IRS's attention. He ultimatly resigned to avoid being ejected from parliament in disgrace over his lies and deception. His behaviour ultimately led to catastrophic electoral defeat and collapse of his party.
