Waste depends on values. You're presupposing what they value is similar to our fiat society. Why would that be true?
Discussion
Fiat society or not ressources have value. You think if the US was in a bitcoin standard they wouldn’t invade other countries to get resources? Seriously 🤭
You seem to have missed my point completely. Statism is a premise people have, and it shapes their values. Makes them support parasites that wage war and value high time preference gains at the expense of others in their same global society.
States are not inevitably present. Statism and other such fallacies, in fact, tend destroy a civilization. Eventually reality catches up with them, so to speak. The entire concept of a perpetually exterminating galactduck operates on socialist premises as a matter of fact.
I'm saying that a civilization that tried to be galactduck by exterminating other civilizations to take their resources would run into similar problems as the Soviet Union and the United States have. It is extremely inefficient and belief in the falsehood of it all eventually kills you off.
The U.S. as a group did not profit from war. A few parasites did. To truly progress as a society, you eliminate the parasites.
Sorry to be annoying about it. When people start spreading the rumor that Weyland-Yutani is right, that centralized aggressive power actually works, my fallacy radar goes off like bonkers. Because parasites will destroy you eventually if you don't get rid of them, you won't get to rule the galaxy.
Statism 🤣
US is just an example of one side being way more powerful than another.
Wow do you actually believe that power always wants to expand and decimate other life forms? If you believe that, you don't understand true power.
I thought we were just discussing science fiction but this is a really odd thing to say.
Please tell me you're not a metaphysical statist or law of the jungle type
So serious Bacon 🤣
I'm not the one who took everything as a personal attack and then called the other person a know it all. I simply like having discussions.
I just thought we had more in common, philosophically, than we actually do. I'm a tad disappointed is all.
I’m disappointed you take everything so seriously 🤭
I literally said sorry for being so annoying about it, for being so serious, twice, and explained why I'm passionate about it. And I said clearly that I don't think less of you for having these innocuous opinions that I've heard from other people, have been annoyed by for a while, and was simply expressing an opinion on. I'm a naturally disagreeable person but I meant no insult, and I said as much.
But you didn't take my apology and instead you made a shitty comment about me being a know-it-all. If your ego is so fragile that you have to insult me, just talk to someone else.
You turned shitposting about aliens into a statism/bitcoin conversation. Also you have no idea what I think. Relax
I am relaxed. I'm also just myself. I'll interact with you or not according to my values, in whatever way I want. If I don't like the conversation or have anything to learn or that the other person values me sharing, I'm out. Simple as that. Failing to read the room is not something I care to have met with an insult to my humility. So I'm out. Deal with it.
Don’t waste your time. “I sound like your crypto bro coworker” 🤣🤣🤣
You hold the truth bacon. No one else has a valid opinion 🤣
