Another Bitcoin pro question:
Why buy #Bitcoin non-KYC and pay a premium, when you expect to be able to spend your Satoshis anonymously via Lightning in the future 🤔?

Not a pro, but maybe because I need to buy it first to be able to spend? 😂 If I were a real clever pro and bought bitcoin in 2010, I would fully agree.
Also, it’s not totally easy to spend it even now, even with lightning 🤷🏻♂️
Oh, i have to clarify: i meant why buy btc non-KYC with a premium instead of buying it on a KYC exchange…
Because these bitcoins will be linked to your ID? 🤷🏻♂️
I see it differently: You get a discount by buying bitcoin on a kyc exchange. You get a real market price on a non-kyc platform.
And it might be easier than you think in most cases. For example you can buy prepaid visa cards from the Bitcoin company with sats and spend anywhere where visa is accepted
even if you buy bitcoin from robosats or bisq via bank transfer or revolut there is a kyc process involved.
i see a danger here depending on the size of the purchase.
What do you recommend?
i have already asked this question to people who are much smarter than i am.
The answer was it depends …
I think buying at a vending machine, at meetings or cash by mail are good solutions, but with other tradeoffs
Yes, although I would strongly discourage meeting unknown people in person. Especially for things like that. Cash by mail is the way. The number of orders is strongly limited though.
On the other hand, neither robosats nor bisq will allow you to buy insane amounts in one go. Robosats‘ limit is ~1500 euros per purchase, while Bisq‘ is around 0.1 btc depending on the method.
There’s a risk of being banned by paypal or wise for buying too frequently, but other than that it’s very hard to prove it was a btc purchase.
But I generally agree, cash by mail is probably the only option for paranoid sociopaths 😂🤙
What do you think about relai? 🤔
Could be done IMO. It depends on how much stacking conform you want and what your priorities are. Personally, I’m naturally inclined towards interesting technical solutions like self-hosted robosats or bisq clients, tor, etc. So I go for it. It is much more pleasant to DCA if you understand every single step of what you’re doing.
i think relai and pocketbitcoin are great solutions if you would buy by bank transfer anyway
🙏🫂💜
but you should also think about bisq and robosats ... because the topic is so important 💜🫂
Don’t forget those companies will disclose all the trade data if forced by the government .
It’s much more difficult with the private trades via Bisq, Robosats.
100%. There’s no pointing buying non KYC corn imo, just wait long enough and CGT will be abolished on purchases using corn and it’ll all be ecash level anonymous.
But is there a risk in the government knowing that you own btc when buying it from KYC exchanges? 🤔
Depends on which government?
Swiss, Norwegian, Slovenian, Costa Rican…. No I don’t think they would
China, US, North Korea, perhaps they would try but I doubt they would succeed.
Bitcoin is too easy to move and hide. There are too many users.
