Anyone who styles himself king of his home town, and doesn't have a decent medieval army to back up his claim, is just a larp.

On a more serious note, the main thing I appreciated about Peter was his candid telling of how his ex-wife bullied and abused him, in a cluster b personality kind of way. It's the kind of bullying that makes guys super ashamed, and it's doubly confusing if they actually loved the gal and felt invested in the marriage.
