Privacy-focused AI?

Yes, duck.ai

Spoiler alert: it has improved significantly in recent updates.

Duck.ai offers anonymous interaction without requiring an account; you can chat without creating a user or signing in.

The conversations are sent anonymously; identifiers like IP addresses are removed before prompts are forwarded.

Duck.ai does not keep long-term memory between chats: each session is independent and not synchronized across devices.

Text only — there is no voice chat or multimodal capabilities on the platform today.

A mobile app is available for iOS and Android with notifications and better integration than the web version.

The app is not open source; the client and app are not available as open-source code.

Brave browser + VPN is the best option for privacy.

The platform prioritizes actionable, structured responses: lists, steps, and concrete guides rather than vague answers.

Available LLMs include GPT-family models (e.g., GPT-4o, GPT-5 mini), Llama (Meta), Mistral, and Claude (Anthropic); exact model names and availability may vary by region and plan. There is a free tier with basic access and limited model selection, and a paid subscription that unlocks more powerful models, priority in the queue, and additional features.

Recommended if you prioritize privacy and clear responses; consider alternatives if you need synchronized history, voice, or enterprise integrations.

I understand that it's not a perfect browser, but it's one of the best on the market for the average user because it's very user-friendly, doesn't require a lot of configuration, and is fast to navigate.

The idea is to offer tools that are user-friendly and as secure as possible; otherwise, privacy is only for a few nerds.

That description fits HydraVeil, but we require the user to have Linux. Telling people they have privacy on Brave with Windows is a lie

Yes, privacy in Windows is a lie.

Brave on Linux isn't.

Tell people to use Linux... there aren't many.

I've seen you promote Monero, although some argue Bitcoin Lightning is private enough.

I've seen you promote Session, although some argue Signal is private enough.

When is something private? Where do we draw the line?

I personally draw the line at when something is significantly better, but offers no downside or has no technical difficulty compared to the original. And it is through doing this upgrades without harm, that society evolves.

So Brave Browser by default even on Linux very clearly gives a huge number of fingerprint identifiers, and the vast number of people will be unable to configure the complex settings. While as HydraVeil is EASIER than Brave's settings to configure, it's just pushing a button on a GUI.

Now can you ignore my article and type a few sentences like "No it's not" just to avoid reading? Yeah, but then you gotta ask yourself why you're spending time to be a tech influencer that doesn't want to help people grow.

I have had a idea about decentralized internet for a long time. Dont have coding ability but i do have the concept. Anyone interested in working together to create a real decentraled internet operating system with no compromises?
