Any network can be used as a dating site if one has balls to do it. Though I prefer in person meets. I never use dating apps nor would I use nostr to do so.

Besides the whole happening in public on social media, I mean you can assume you may have something in common, and get a chance to interact with them, so if they happen to be local what's the worst that could happen. No reason to shut the door on opportunity.
